I mainly wrote, recorded and mixed this on my own in a secluded little bedroom in New Hampshire. There's a window behind my computer, and I'm fortunate enough to see blue jays land on branches of rich trees from time to time. When I wrote this album, spring was turning into summer and I felt generally uncertain about where the world was evolving. The music ultimately came from listening to lots of krautrock and sitting at my desk with too much coffee. I'm not sure if it shows. The lyrics were written in the Mojave desert during a day of escape.
